This intimate workshop packs a ton of education into five full nights (4-days) - in one of the most spectacular places on earth - Moab, Utah. This workshop will teach everything you need to know to plan & scout, setup, and shoot professional quality day-to-night, and astro time-lapses using your DSLR. The workshop combines class time with a lot of hands-on time in the field. This workshops falls during a new moon, which will provide an incredible opportunity to capture the night-sky - in motion! Moab is famous for its incredible landscapes, dark skies, and its two national parks (Canyonlands and Arches National Parks) as well as Dead Horse State Park. In this five-night, 4-day workshop you'll learn everything you need to take your day & night time-lapses to the next level -including post-production workflow. MOCO Time-lapses During the workshop you'll learn how to use motion-control heads & dollies to bring your day or night time-lapses to the next level. What to expect: This workshop will consist of both class and in-the-field instruction. We will also be doing some hiking, so please consider this prior to signing up. Most of the trails are considered easy hikes, but we may also hike to Corona Arch or Delicate Arch one afternoon, which I would rate as a moderate hike. Since Moab's elevation is above 5000 ft, even an easy hike may cause problems for those with respiratory problems. Also note that we will be shooting, walking, and/or hiking in the dark using flashlights (mostly return trips). Workshop registration is non-refundable
