UNRIVALED WORKSHOP

One of the first things you'll learn from me is that this is YOUR workshop.  For us, it's about your experience, so you'll have our undivided attention during class and out in the field.   We want to make sure that when the workshop is over you have the skills and confidence to continue shooting on your own.

LODGING

We'll be staying at the iconic Ruby's Inn for the first 3-nights while we capture the stunning night skies of Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, and Escalante.  On the 4th day, we meet up with our outfitter back in Kanab where we'll head out to White Pocket in northern Arizona to capture the sunset, night sky, and subsequent sunrise the next morning.  Camping gear for this overnight trip will be provided and dinner and breakfast for the overnight trip is also included.

This is an intimate workshop with daily classroom and in-field setup, shooting & instruction. You will come away with extensive knowledge on how to compose, capture, and process day & night sky images andtime lapses; as well as advanced techniques to eliminate noise; eliminate planes; increase exposure time without star trails; and why and when to use motion control gear for timelapse.

This all new workshop adventure will bring you to Bryce Canyon National Park- as well as to other incredible locations in the Escalante area and White Pocket in the Vermilion Cliffs of Arizona.  These areas offer some of the darkest skies anywhere in the world, and with the high desert climate the conditions for night-sky photography couldn't be better. This is truly a photographer's paradise.
