This all new workshop for 2020 only has room for 8 photographers, so make sure you register early to ensure a spot for this trip.   This trip also includes lodging and our overnight trip to White Pocket.

During this workshop you'll learn advanced dark-sky photography & timelapse techniques, including stacking for noise reduction, star trails, exposure stacking, holy grail time lapse capture, and the use of motion control time lapse.

This is an intimate workshop that includes classroom sessions, in-field instruction, and lots of shooting. You will come away with extensive knowledge on how to plan, compose, capture, and process night sky images and time lapses; and how to make use of new post-production techniques to get rid of airplanes, create noise-free night-sky images, star trails, and more.

UNRIVALED WORKSHOP

One of the first things you'll learn from me is that this is YOUR workshop.  For us, it's about your experience, so you'll have our undivided attention during class and out in the field.   We want to make sure that when the workshop is over you have the skills and confidence to continue shooting on your own.

LODGING

We'll be staying at the iconic Ruby's Inn while we capture the stunning night skies around Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, and Escalante, and will meet up with our outfitter for a full day and overnight trip to White Pocket.

A Remarkable Night Sky Experience

This is an intimate workshop with daily classroom and in-field setup, shooting & instruction. You will come away with extensive knowledge on how to compose, capture, and process day & night sky time lapses and still images; and how to use advanced motion control rigs to add tracking, parallex, and depth to your time lapse sequences.

This all new workshop adventure will bring you to Bryce Canyon National Park and Cedar Breaks National Monument, two certified dark-sky parks - as well as to other incredible  locations in Grand-Staircase Escalante and White Pocket in the Vermilion Cliffs of Arizona.  These areas offer some of the darkest skies anywhere in the world, and with the high desert climate the conditions for night-sky photography couldn't be better. This is truly a photographer's paradise.
